AJK-MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Danish Siddiqui Foundation Join Forces for Qala Photography Competition and Exhibition

New Delhi, 22 May 2023 AJK-MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, and the Danish Siddiqui Foundation are proud to announce their collaboration for Qala, the Photography Competition and Exhibition. This exciting partnership aims to promote the idea of photojournalism and pay tribute to the renowned photojournalist Danish Siddiqui.

Qala, a highly anticipated event organized by AJK-MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, provides a platform for photographers to showcase their talent and tell compelling visual stories. The collaboration with the Danish Siddiqui Foundation will see the establishment of the prestigious “Danish Siddiqui Award for Photojournalistic Image” within the competition.

The competition will be held on June 8th and 9th, 2023. and for the duration of two days, will feature an exhibition, multiple photography installations, photo talks by industry professionals, and a photo competition. 

The competition has three categories for which entries are open: 

  • Photojournalistic Images
  • Pattern in Chaos
  • Forms of Affection

Event Venue: M.F. Husain Art Gallery, Gate No.8, Jamia Millia Islamia.
